Proplog2:
I agree, there is no exact science in interpreting and applying bible prophecy. There are only "preferred" methods, as you described.
Due to the billions of humans currently occupying this planet along with trillions of fish, animals and insects, there are literally at any second of the normal day, quadrillions of events taking place. When viewed from a distance, it is a busy and confusing place, bustling with frantic, hectic, and constant activity.
Given these facts, it is possible to expand and contract the applications of biblical prophecies to fit a variety of interpretations, both academic, historical, archaeological and scientific.
Only access to resources and the power to theorize, speculate, research, investigate and conclude pose limits to the individual private scholar.

WTS Corp. Business INFO List
by Amazing ini now have access to the "complete or partially complete" reports on the society's businesses, suppliers, credit, and background of the following watchtower related corporations.
some of these seem like duplicates, but they "may" represent various operations and subsidiaries, such as printing factories, or shipping operations.
some of them, i do not yet know what their specific purpose is.

From a woman or child's perspective, it is very easy to see that the vast majority of earth's problems are caused by MEN. Let's face it, if you give it SERIOUS thought, and start compiling statistics from history, you will see that men are more responsible than animals, nature, weather, or anyone else for the situation on this planet.
Now, does that mean all MEN are evil. I don't think so. There are still milions of good men in society.

Police Say Former Enron Executive Commits Suicide
HOUSTON (Reuters) - Former Enron Corp. vice chairman J. Clifford Baxter committed suicide on Friday, found with a gunshot wound to his head, Texas police said.Sugar Land police department spokeswoman Patricia Whitty said Baxter was found inside his car early on Friday with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head, and a suicide note at his side. There were no apparent signs of foul play, she said.
Enron confirmed the death in a statement.
``We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our friend and colleague, Cliff Baxter,'' the Enron statement said.
Baxter was vice chairman of the collapsed energy trader when he resigned in May 2001. He lived in Sugar Land, a suburb on Houston's southwest border.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CONGREGATION EVER
by You Know into put things in perspective in relation to the pathetic and sordid trivial gossip of those whom i affectionately call: the phallic-worshipping accursed children of the apostasy, by far the worst, most problem-filled congregation that has ever existed, anywhere, anytime, was the corinthian congregation.
you name the problem---they had it.
you want shocking salacious sexual scandal?

We all know about situations in congregations we once attended. However, I do not know of anyone particular congregation with as many problems as Corinth. My experience may be limited compared to others.
However, the "Percy Chapman" scandal and the "Leo Greenlees" scandal are enough to shock anyone religious. How does YOUKNOW feel about those situations?

Hey Ashitaka:
Since you and I "stomped" around in the same area a few years ago, I will not only agree with you, but take your advice one step further.
It's true, you need to exercise caution with some forum members as well. For example, one of the "tactics" I don't approve of is the collecting of personal information about members who post here in confidence. There are a million reasons why a person may need privacy/confidence to post here and no one has any right to judge the validity of another's personal concerns.
However, certain members here who possess personal information, or have access to those who possess it, have the potential to use it in a harmful way. Now, the question is when and how and why would a member use another's personal information and expose/reveal identities to the public, or to the WTBS. I say the desire and need for revenge, control and manipulation are behind these tactics. Egos can be just as large outside the WTBS as they are inside.
It makes certain ones behave just like the WTBS gestapo, when threatened, angry or jealous. Most humans problems result from misunderstandings and lack of communication. I hope members will choose resolution and cooperation rather than cloak and dagger antics when encountering personality conflicts, difficulties or differences of opinion.
The important thing I have always said is to always have a "back-door". Keep an "ace" up your sleeve and keep an eye on everyone.
Remember, the WTBS service committee would not hesitate one micro second in accepting "information" from so-called critics and apostates about certain "sheep" who have strayed onto the internet and are rebellious. Especially, if there are doubts and suspicions lingering. It's a shame, but that is life with human beings.
Trust is a very expensive luxury, and the type of credit that is difficult to obtain. Once it's compromised, it is even more difficult to settle.

John Walker
by mike047 inthe u.s. government is returning john walker to the states for trial.
what do you consider an appropriate punishment for his mis-deeds?.
i think, he should be[if found guilty]stipped of his citizenship and returned to somewhere in the mideast to spend the rest of his life, with no possibility to return to the u.s. for any reason.

Today, I tend to agree with SEEKER. This sensationalized media police action is not exactly a "complete" war.
Because terrorists spring from many places, the coalitions/UN cannot wage conventional war against any particular nation. They are forced to resort to unconventional means.
I know that many people have relatives and friends serving overseas during this situation. It is painful, stressful, emotional and fearful. It is hard to simply let the voices of patriotism and rally cries for freedom and America take over your heart and make you feel good when you are not certain of the condition of someone you know far away.
Perhaps, engaging in debates allows for an outlet and venting of frustrations, this too is temporary. I don't have a magical answer. only that I hope the amount of suffering is reduced as much as possible wherever this thing goes.
